The Problem
Millions of children across the U.S. are growing up fatherless, in poverty, or experiencing trauma. This leads to alarming statistics:

  • 85% of incarcerated youth and 71% of high school dropouts are fatherless.

  • 50% of children are experiencing trauma.

  • Youth mental health issues like anxiety, depression, and loneliness are increasing.

The Solution
 You Can Mentor (YCM) exists to equip and encourage Christian mentors and mentoring organizations by:

  • Equipping faith-based leaders and nonprofits to thrive through coaching, consulting, resources, and training.

  • Connecting leaders to encouragement and collaborative opportunities through our network and events. 

  • Raising up the next generation of leaders through our cohorts and accelerator programs who can plant ministries. 

Vision & Mission
YCM aims to mobilize 50,000 mentors, creating a movement rooted in discipleship, relationship, and practical support. Whether an organization is starting, scaling, or growing, YCM provides tools, coaching, and connection.

How YCM Adds Value

  • Resources: Books, podcast, video training, and toolkits

  • Relationships: Monthly leadership cohorts, annual conference, national network

  • Consulting & Coaching: Strategy, leadership development, nonprofit operations

  • Nonprofit Accelerator: Year-long support program for early-stage organizations

Current Strategy

  • Build a national brand for Christian mentoring similar to CAFO or CCDC, but more aimed towards leaders.

  • Continue to build the national conference and mentoring hub for connection and collaboration.

  • Create a scalable resource library and training platform for churches and ministries.

  • Develop mentoring leaders through coaching cohorts and an accelerator program.

  • Form strategic partnerships to expand reach and impact and create collaborative opportunities.

Next Steps / Needs

  • Develop and implement a 3-year strategic plan

  • Hire staff to execute admin and operations (target: Spring 2026)

  • Expand collaborations and marketing efforts

  • Establish a national board of directors

  • Raise funding to scale YCM’s impact and ensure sustainability
